About Council Clarity

Council Clarity is a civic engagement platform that helps residents understand what their local council is doing, follow issues that matter to them, and message their councillors publicly. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Use of the platform

Council Clarity is provided for residents who want to engage with local democracy. You may use this platform to:

  • Track council decisions and committee meetings
  • Follow issues and receive updates
  • Message your local councillors
  • Read and share public content about your council

You must not use Council Clarity to send abusive, threatening, or harassing messages to councillors or other users. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Public messages

When you send a message to a councillor through Council Clarity, that message is published as a public thread. This is intentional — transparency and accountability are core to what we do. Do not send anything you would not want to be publicly visible.

Data and content

Council decision data is sourced from public council records. We make every effort to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee it. For authoritative information, always refer to the official council website.

Council Clarity is not affiliated with any council, political party, or government body. We are an independent platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
